Chun-Yan Lim, PI

Currently a Group Leader of the newly established Guangzhou National Laboratory, China and a recent National High-level Talents Program awardee. Lim completed a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the National University of Singapore in 2013 and worked as a research fellow in A*STAR, studying the molecular mechanisms for insulin regulation of glucose homeostasis and hormone secretion. From Dec 2015 to Aug 2020, Chun-Yan worked in the laboratory of Roberto Zoncu at the University of California, Berkeley, U.S., with the support of the AHA postdoctoral fellowship, where he investigated how membrane contacts between organelles operate as metabolic signaling hubs to mediate cell growth and organelle fitness. In Oct 2020, Chun-Yan started his lab as a principal investigator, focusing on the regulation of inter-organelle communication that governs cellular homeostasis in health and disease.

林俊彦 研究员

LIM CHUN YAN （林俊彦）是新加坡籍细胞生物学家， 现为广州国家实验室研究员、博士生导师，主要研究方向为细胞器通讯与溶酶体生物学。2013年新加坡国立大学生物化学博士、A*STAR（新*科研）助理研究员，2015-2020年美国加州大学伯克利分校博士后，2020年10月加入生物岛实验室，2021年5月加入广州国家实验室。2021年入选国家重大人才项目（青年）、2022年广州市黄埔区精英人才、2023年外国专家重点支撑计划，目前主持国家自然科学基金面上项目 1 项。
